Description of spherical roller bearing
Spherical Roller Bearings are designed to work in applications where severe misalignment
exists whether from mounting or shaft deflection and with relatively heavy radial loads and
some axial loads in either direction. They are also extremely resistant to shock loads and
their self-aligning feature allows full capacity loading despite shaft deflection. They are very
similar in purpose to Self-Aligning Double Row Ball Bearings, except the Spherical Roller
Bearings are designed to be more robust by carry heavier loads but at lower maximum
speeds .
Spherical Roller Bearings are commonly used in agricultural machines such as combined
harvesting machine, air-blower,paper-machine, textile machine,woodworking machinery,
overhead crane moving wheel and driving shaft as well as a large number of non agricultural
applications.
Spherical roller bearing Features :
1) Spherical roller bearings are principally provided with two rows of symmetrical spherical
rollers and a common sphere raceway in out ring, the two inner ring raceways are included
at an angle to the bearing axia.
2) The bearings have good self-aligning ability and can operate when the shaft deflection
under load or the shaft deflection
under load or the shaft misaligning in mounting, and their permissible aligning angle is 1 to
2.5 degree.
3) This type of bearings has heavy load carrying capacity and anti-impact ability, in addition
to radial loads, they also can carry axial loads in two directions
4) In general, this type of bearings permits a low limiting speed
Applications : injection molding machines, crane hooks, vertical pumps.
Spherical roller bearing
Spherical Roller Bearings- Are double row self-aligning bearings capable of carrying heavy
radial loads combined with moderate thrust loads in either direction. They are extremely
resistant to shock loads and their self-aligning feature allows full capacity loading despite
shaft deflection.
Continuous Caster Rollers- These are 2-split bearing units of a highly reliable design and
feature a long service life. Cylindrical roller bearings with self-aligning rings having a proper
alignment function.
Spherical Roller Bearings TL Series.Excellent performance with high temperature equipment.
High strength to prevent inner ring fractures.
Shaker Screen Bearings.Are designed for vibrating applications such as screens, feeders and
compactors. These are self-aligning spherical roller bearings designed to accommodate the
high loads, static and dynamic misalignment
characteristics, and severe environmental conditions inherent in these applications.
Triple Ring Bearings.Are specially designed for use with controlled crown rolls used extensively
in the paper industry. These high load capacity bearings provide “shaft within shaft” operation,
while simplifying the surrounding structure and installation.
Features of NSK Spherical Roller Bearing :
a, low speed, impact resistance, vibration
b, with self-aligning function, namely the inner ring relative to the axis of a larger outer ring
axis is tilted (usually in less than 3
degrees) still operate normally
c, mainly bear large radial load
d, but also can withstand a small axial load
